WHEN WILL YOUR VENUES RE-OPEN?
We will follow all Scottish Government guidance on re-opening dates. This is currently 26th April but please check our social media pages for the latest news.
WILL YOU BE TAKING BOOKINGS IN ADVANCE OF RE-OPENING?
No, we are a ‘walk in’ establishment, unless its for a special event or group of more than 6 people. However we will always adhere to Scottish Government legislation regarding the number of households that can meet. Please ensure you comply with any restrictions.
WHAT MEASURES DOES THE VENUE HAVE IN PLACE TO REDUCE THE RISK OF COVID-19 TRANSMISSION?
We have provided all staff with Personal Protective Equipment and training on cleaning and hygiene procedures. We have introduced new cleaning rotas and safety stations for all guests. We have configured our restaurants and bars and will only be providing table service to allow for social distancing.
All customers must wear a masks when entering, exiting or moving around the restaurant.
We have received our Visit Scotland ‘Good to Go’ certification which demonstrates that we are adhering to the respective government and public health guidance, and have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment to check we have the required processes and protocols in place.
We will constantly review all processes and procedures in line with any new Scottish Government guidelines or advice to ensure the safety of our staff and guests.
WHY DO I HAVE TO WEAR A FACE MASK?
This is a decision based on government guidelines, along with our own mitigating measures to prevent a close down of the restaurant. Service will be refused if you don’t wear a suitable face covering (unless you are exempt)
I WON’T USE HAND SANITISER, I’LL JUST WASH MY HANDS.
Unfortunately it is our requirement to use sanitiser on entry, before even going through the restaurant to the bathrooms. Service will be refused if you don’t use hand sanitiser.
I DON’T WANT TO GIVE YOU MY CONTACT DETAILS.
We have no choice other than to take your details as part of track and trace. This is our requirement and so unfortunately service will be refused if you don’t. You can scan the QR code which will register your details, or if you prefer we can take your details the old fashioned way with pen and paper. GDPR will be followed.
CAN I GET COVID-19 THROUGH FOOD?
There is absolutely no evidence that Covid-19 can be transmitted through food. We have rigorous measures to reduce the risk of virus transmission through increased cleaning and hygiene protocols
I HAVE A VOUCHER THAT EXPIRED DURING YOUR PERIOD OF CLOSURE, CAN I USE THIS ONCE YOU HAVE RE-OPENED?
We have extended the validity of all vouchers that expired during our period of closure until the end of November 2021. Please remember to produce your voucher when arriving at Chaplins.
